"The Encyclopedia of Roses" calls this An Iconic Rose. All the good traits of an Old Garden Rose are present in this rose. Beautiful form, sweet fragrance, and the bush is nicely vigorous. The bloom is pure white, but a touch of pink in the bud disappears as the bud opens. A crush of pure white petals surrounds a green eye. The flowers come in clusters of 3 to 5. Shade tolerant, good disease resistance. We have never observed disease on our bush. This is a spring-blooming rose so plant it with a clematis that will bloom later in the season to give season-long color.
