Popular for over a century this rugosa rose is tough but it looks delicate. The blooms are parchment-like in a lovely magenta color. The leaves are shiny but have the typical Rugosa wrinkling. A large rose, good for the back of the border or planted en masse as a hedge. Red hips in the fall.
