Tina Kysar, Master Gardener of Spokane County

Tina's love for gardening and seed saving started with her grandmother's farm. As an adult, Tina spent 23 years as a substitute teacher and military spouse living around the world with a passion for gardening. In Spokane, Tina spent over 200 hours a year working with Master Gardeners teaching kids at Fairchild, cultivating their 8 flower beds, teaching seed starting classes at the extension in the spring, working with the Waterwise committee, and coordinating veggie starts for the plant sale every April. Currently Tina is furthering her education at Spokane Community College in a Small Farm Production Degree and Greenhouse Management Certification.

   

 

Nicki Farrell, Owner Tall Grass Farms

Nicki has been growing dahlias, sunflowers, veggies, and annuals on her farm in Medical Lake since 2008. She is part of the West Plains Farm Corridor and the Spokane Dahlia Society. Nicki plants the Rosarium Dahlia Garden every season and teaches all hands-on classes about dahlia care at the Rosarium. You can find her dahlia tubers for sale online and at various store fronts in the area. If you have questions about dahlias, Nicki has answers!
