Tina's love for gardening and seed saving started with her grandmother's farm. As an adult, Tina spent 23 years as a substitute teacher and military spouse living around the world with a passion for gardening. In Spokane, Tina spent over 200 hours a year working with Master Gardeners teaching kids at Fairchild, cultivating their 8 flower beds, teaching seed starting classes at the extension in the spring, working with the Waterwise committee, and coordinating veggie starts for the plant sale every April. Currently Tina is furthering her education at Spokane Community College in a Small Farm Production Degree and Greenhouse Management Certification.
