Gertrude Jekyll

We do not ship our roses.

This rose can be grown as a large shrub or a climber. We grow it both ways here at the nursery. The process of tying a rose to a structure seems to encourage the canes to grow taller and more upright. The blooms are full and large and the color is a rich deep pink. The blooms are strongly fragrant and produced all summer on a tall, vigorous, healthy plant. This is a beautiful rose in any garden. It caught our eye when we visited the David Austin garden and saw it growing as a climber on the front of their sales cottage.
