Reminiscent Crema
Order now for pickup at the garden center after we open on April 1st.
We are excited about this series of roses developed in Serbia by a group of breeders who are devoted to seeking out the best in color, fragrance, bloom power, and overall great garden roses. They are available here in North America for the first time. We had a few here in our garden center in 2022 and they did not disappoint.
Not quite white and not quite yellow, Reminiscent Crema rose combines the best of all worlds with blooms the hue of fresh buttermilk. Each big, full bloom boasts a very high petal count and a delightful fragrance. The perfect choice for adding classic beauty to the landscape or flower garden! Clean, vigorous growth and foliage, with no deadheading required for continuous bloom. Also, this rose is reported hardy to Zone 4 and we will be testing it in our Zone 5 garden this season.
Thank you Spring Meadow for the pictures and description.
3 gallon Roses: These roses have more established root systems, but it is still important to treat them with care when planting. We recommend digging a hole that is one and a half to two feet deep and wide. Amend the soil with compost/fertilizer. Gently ease the plant out of the pot. Do NOT pull from the stem. Place the plant in the hole, pat soil around the plant so that it is level with the top, and water in well.
During the growing season, deadhead plants regularly to promote continuous blooming. We recommend allowing own-root roses to go dormant naturally, which means holding off on deadheading in the fall. Prune back any unruly canes to avoid wind damage during the winter, but otherwise, save pruning for the early spring (before the plant starts pushing new growth).
